Exploring How Society Works

Tales of an Outgoing Introvert

Posted by: Spencer Stern on: July 25, 2007

I have a male friend I’ve known since March 2007. We’ve become good friends very quickly. We share similar problems, interests and goals. It soon became apparent that we shared the same Alpha quadra. Relations are indeed full of understanding, comfort and psychotherapy even after any hustle and bustle so to speak.

As a matter of course I eventually decided that this friend best equated to a Sensory-Ethical Introvert type, otherwise known as a harmonious Mediator.

To the untrained eye you might see the word ‘introvert’ and jump to the conclusion that this person is either shy, reclusive or reserved.

Interestingly though as with all SEI types I’ve encountered they can be very outgoing, ranging from the female SEI event’s promoter or air stewardess to the SEI male who likes to go to every new and potentially exciting social event with a select group of mates.

Anyway, back to my SEI male friend. Him and I share a ‘relation of activity’. Like I’ve come to expect of all activity relations we can expect a reaction. In this case, when is the next social event we can go to due to a shared interest in socialising.

SEI’s seem to me like a complex blend of empathy and realism. Somewhat impulsive and focused on short-term goals but automatically tuned in to keeping-the-peace with others where they may have had an odd moment of spontaneity that may have caused irritation.

I also know a likely SEI female in a more professional capacity. She and I naturally get on well when it comes to giving and receiving pep talks. She obviously ‘talks’ to my subconscious very well because I usually feel very accountable to show results at an agreed deadline.

In conclusion, the SEI to me represents one of the least introverted introvert types in the stereotypical sense thus I like to call them outgoing introverts since they do get around quite a bit.
